HelloSend’s SMS Campaign feature allows you to create and send targeted text messages with dynamic CRM field placeholders. It is a mass messaging strategy that enables businesses to reach a specific audience for marketing, customer engagement, and communication purposes.
Step 1: Create a New SMS Campaign
- Open HelloSend and navigate to the Messaging section in the sidebar.

- Select the Campaign.

- Click the Create button to start your campaign.

Step 2: Enter Campaign Details
- Assign Campaign Name
- Provide a friendly and relevant name for easy identification.

- Choose From Number
- Select the phone number from which the SMS will be sent.

- Select CRM Module
- Choose the appropriate CRM module where this campaign will be applied
(Leads, Deals, Contacts, Accounts, etc.).

CSV File Import Support in HelloSend
HelloSend allows you to import CSV files to streamline the process of adding contacts for SMS campaigns. This feature enables bulk uploads, making it easier to manage large datasets efficiently.
- Select the source and destination for importing the CSV.

- Upload files (please ensure that the CSV file includes both the "PhoneNumber" and "Name" fields Attached is a Sample file for your reference.)

- Select Phone Fields
- Choose the phone fields you have created in the CRM to ensure accurate message delivery.

- Apply Filters
- Use filters to refine your audience based on specific conditions:

Example: Date-Based Filters
- Created Date: Contacts added after a certain date.
- Last Contacted: Contacts messaged within a specific timeframe.
- Last Purchase Date: Customers who made a purchase within a set period.
- Choose the appropriate filter name to segment your audience effectively.
Message Content
- If a template is available, select and use it for the campaign.

- If no template is selected, manually type your message in the message area.
Step 3: Choose Delivery Options
HelloSend provides two delivery options based on your scheduling needs:
- Immediate Delivery
- Sends the SMS campaign instantly to the selected recipients.
- Ideal for time-sensitive messages, flash sales, or urgent updates.
- Ensures immediate delivery and engagement.

- Custom Date Delivery
- Allows you to schedule the SMS campaign for a specific date and time.
- Useful for planned promotions, event reminders, or automated follow-ups.
- Helps optimize delivery timing for better response rates.

- Launch Campaign
- Once everything is set, click the Launch button to send the campaign.

Step 4: Monitor Your Campaign (Overview)
Once the campaign is created, you will be automatically redirected to the Overview page, where you can track its progress and performance.

- Click on the campaign name to view detailed analytics such as delivery status, responses, and engagement rates.

Key Metrics in SMS Campaign Monitoring
- Total Planned – The total number of recipients targeted for the campaign.
- In Progress – Messages currently being processed and sent.
- Awaiting Status – Messages that are queued and waiting for an update.
- Delivered – The number of SMS messages successfully delivered.
- Failure – Messages that failed due to invalid numbers, network issues, or other errors.
- Skipped – Contacts excluded from the campaign due to filters, opt-outs, or duplicate entries.
